Getting easy breezy beach hair should be just that– easy! We asked the hair
experts at Anastasia Brentwood (Cody Smith and Mia Shin) how to get the soft,
beach waves that we covet so much without doing a whole lotta work. Here’s how.

  Straight Hair:
Allow hair to air dry. Section hair from the bottom up and wrap horizontal sections around a 1 ¼-inch curling iron (starting a few inches away from scalp). Tug on the ends after curling each section to loosen the curl on the ends.

Wavy Hair:
After towel drying, apply a curl enhancing
product
, and scrunch from the bottom and air
dry. Curl random pieces if needed, for extra body.

Curly Hair:
Apply a relaxing, anti-frizz serum to towel dried hair. Twist sub-sections of hair around your finger, let sit and air dry. Loosen once your hair is dry with your fingers.

  • After curling, brush out and mess up hair with your fingers. Use a sea salt texturizing spray   for definition and for a more natural, beachy look. Set with a light hold hairspray.
• To save time, sleep on wet hair rather than letting it air dry.
• Beachy waves look great up or down. Try an updo by pulling hair together at the nape and   twisting it up softly and pinning it with bobby pins.
